How to tell if you are hydrated (a 1-2% dehydration level can create problems):
1) Pinch the skin on the back of your hand and then let go, if it takes longer than 2 seconds to go back to normal you may be dehydrated.

3) Are you thirsty – you are already dehydrated, drink up!
